the season is changing. I don't mind it but it can be a bit of a shock.
It is August so this happens.
The French inspired building is elegant and perfect in this setting.
Climbing to the top for a sweeping look towards the city.
This is Ault Park, or just a snippet view. It was taken in the fall.
I need to go back down there. I have been meaning to do this all summer.
It is a beautiful, large park that is very calming - and yet you can put a little effort into it and hike the trails. There is no shortage of hills in Cincinnati!
Just one more...
Near Ault Park is a very interesting place called the 'Rookwood.'
It was originally the very place where Rookwood pottery was made.As a place to eat now, it is interesting because of the history of the company and the fact that you can actually go into one of the dome-shaped kilns and eat! They seat about 8-10 people. These kilns were huge. And the food is pretty good too - plus there are nice views of the Ohio River and the city of Cincinnati as well. I like the two rooks perched there on the post. A bit farther off there are two more...this is just a nice place to visit.
I like the old looking house, a great photo indeed and the park also looks very nice. Reminds me of course of Europe. Vive la France. Or even better, Long Live England.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! Ault park is a hidden gem. If I could only afford to buy a house in that area! The Rookwood is so amazing. It is one of my top 5 restaurants. We need to go back so very soon. I always seem to go when it's cold! It has great food and such a beautiful scene to gaze upon. I wish I could just drive up there somedays take a blanket and just listen to some good music. That would be a great moment! Great pics mom! Ly
ReplyDeleteYou could afford it!! I love Hyde Park an def East Wallnut Hills!!!!!
