Unthought of ...
Calvary Cemetery Chapel

...it is is interesting to go places that have always been around you. We did this last week...I like visiting cemeteries. Especially older ones with character. I was able to capture a few shots of this Chapel - on top of this massive hill in the cemetery.
Different sides and angles.
Using black and white to help set the mood in both photos -- but still each is a little different.

The sky was a bright blue that day. Using different methods in CS6 I changed what we see. The one below almost has a nighttime feel to it but you know it is daylight!

A  different view
We walked around the cemetery for a long time. I did get shots of some of the older stones and it was interesting how this was all mapped out. The cemetery isn't really too far from where I have lived for years. Just a small drive. There actually is a lot around us. If we are willing to take the time to see it.  I keep looking for new spots, interesting shoots and in the process I learn a little bit more. That is satisfying.

  1. I think we both have a fascination with cemetaries....I have always loved them, and the chapel here looks very nice. Old stones, old graves, it makes me feel almost like home. Well, England. I love British cemetaries or Italian ones too.
