In Perspective

That peaceful setting...

So here is the small park that I mentioned yesterday.

So well manicured and seemingly perfect.

I just love those lines going away. I am such a sucker for that type of thing. 

I don't really know why, I just like it when the lines are clean and in perspective.
Sort of like LIFE should be.

Still peaceful... 

...but yet quite different.
There is something about the image of a worn building and the old fire escapes. 

Maybe it is the history to it? 

Then combine it with the urban look of some graffiti.

That creates an air of depth and personality.

It is peaceful to me as well, but in a different sort of way.

I like the aesthetics of it. 

Interesting to photograph.

Interesting to think of it's 'life.'

And then....  you have another very common image. A simple stairway in a parking garage.

I like going in and getting a shot that is so average and common most people would think 'why photograph that?'

Why? Just because. 

Because there is detail there. 

Just like with people. 

We all have those details that seem to meld into the flow of everyday life so much so - that it is just commonplace. Not outstanding. Overlook-able.

We need to pay attention to details. They are important. They make us who we are. 

For what it's worth: it's never too late, or in my case, too early to be whoever your want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing.
We can make the best or the worst of it.
I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you.
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people with a different point of view.
I hope you have a life you're proud of.
If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
